Chhattisgarh CID issues alert against Blue Whale Challenge

RAIPUR: With rising incidents of children committing suicide by taking the blue whale challenge throughout the country, Chhattisgarh CID has issued guidelines as part of an awareness drive asking all SPs and nodal officers of internet service providers to ensure removing links of Blue Whale game and immediately register an FIR against proponent.Awareness drive would be conducted to educate children and teenagers in schools while police would also counsel students addicted to computer games.An initiative taken by CID, ADG RK Vij said that he has insisted and written letters to all the district SPs including the nodal officers of internet service providers to keep a watch on people promoting Blue Whale game and those serving it to youth and children."I also insist that parents and teachers take responsibility in this issue and monitor the behaviour and activities of their children.
