VIJAYAWADA: Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths on Monday caught Chowtapalli Sreenu, a village revenue officer (VRO), red-handed while demanding and accepting bribe at Kunderu village in Kankipadu mandal.The complainant, Dasari Bala Prakash , had to make a correction in his Aadhaar card and the VRO sought Rs 4,000 to put his signature and certify. ACB recovered the tainted amount from Sreenu's shirt pocket and produced him before the special judge for ACB cases, Vijayawada, for judicial custody The police are further investigating the case.
