Rajkot: A doctor of Dwarka government hospital was booked on Thursday for a patient’s death due to alleged negligence in May. Apart from Dr Ghedia, a nurse, identified as Labhu, has also been booked for the crime. Palabha, a labourer, received serious head injuries when his bike slipped near Makanpur village near Dwarka on May 13. Police said Dr Ghedia allegedly did not attend to Palabha Sumania, 35, who was rushed to the hospital in a critically injured condition after meeting an accident. When he was taken to the hospital, Dr Ghedia, who was on duty, allegedly did not attend to him and let him lie on a stretcher outside the hospital, as no one from Palabha’s family had arrived.
