Two held with weapons from Bapunagar slums

“As he feared for his safety owing to his enmity with different gangs, he had decided to acquire the weapons, Dal told us. During interrogation, Dal told police he had brought the weapons from a village near Haridwar in Uttaranchal. Rajkot: Two persons were arrested for carrying illegal firearms, cartridges knives and swords , from the slums on Bapunagar main road in Rajkot on Monday morning.Police identified the accused as Zakir Dal (52) and Mohammed Hiriya (50). Mohammed has been arrested for helping him store the weapons,” said Gadhvi. The weapons were found at Dal’s house,” said Bhaktinagar PI V K Gadhvi.Dal is a history-sheeter and was in the past arrested in three murder cases.
