Rajkot: Kunwarji Bavaliya, who was recently inducted as Cabinet minister for water supply after quitting Congress, faced peoples’ wrath in flood-ravaged Vasoj village of Gir-Somnath district on Thursday. “You politicians only come asking for votes but never seen when we are in trouble,” a woman is heard telling the minister. Bavaliya, who was deputed by chief minister Vijay Rupani to oversee relief work in these areas, met with severe criticism from aggrieved women who asked him to leave the village. Vasoj is one of worst-affected villages due to heavy rain and several houses are still marooned. The video of the incident also went viral on social media on Thursday.
