Thakor, who is a diamond polisher, had been stalking the 17-year-old class XII girl since last 15 days.According to the FIR lodged by the girl, Thakor used to stalk her when she went to school and tuition classes. Palanpur: A 27-year-old man was arrested for allegedly threatening a minor girl with acid attack if she turned down his friendship proposal in Palanpur town late on Tuesday night.Police arrested Saajan Thakor, a resident of Thakorvas in Palanpur. She futher alleged that Thakor used to make obscene gestures at her and pass lewd comments about her.Initially the girl ignored Thakor and his gestures, but eventually it became difficult for her to bear the harassment that continued for over a fortnight.The girl finally gathered strength to tell her parents about the harassment and lodged complaint with Palanpur (east) police station on Tuesday.Police said that they arrested Thakor and booked him under Indian Penal Code Sections 354 (uses criminal force with intention of outraging modesty of woman), and 506(criminal intimidation), 294 (obscene act) and under Section 12 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (Pocso) Act.
