Rajkot: Two thieves were arrested from Adhoi village of Rapar taluka in Kutch district on Sunday. They used to sell the stolen jewellery to one jeweller Chandresh Soni in Bhachau, following which, we have also booked him for the crime,” added Jadeja. With their arrests, Gandhidham local crime branch (LCB) has solved 40 theft cases including vehicle thefts and house break-ins.The LCB officials identified the accused as Bharat Koli (30), a resident of Badargadh village of Rapar taluka, and Rajesh Makwana (28), a resident of Bhimasar village of Rapar taluka. “We have recovered the stolen booty including gold and silver jewellery, one laptop, one LED TV, one home theatre, 15 cellphones and two two-wheelers, all worth Rs 2.76 lakh,” said Gandhidham LCB inspector J P Jadeja.“The accused have confessed to having committed 40 thefts from Gandhidham, Anjar, Adipur, Samakhiyali, Adhoi, Bhachau, Lakadia, Rapar and Adesar.
