Rajkot: A watchman at a doctor’s bungalow in Khambhalia Gate locality of Jamnagar on Saturday night was strangled to death by unidentified robbers whose numbers are yet to be ascertained.The robbers also took away a car parked on the porch after taking its key from the bungalow. However, it did not deter the robbers from committing the crime and the cops did not get a whiff of the crime.Bakrania used to live in Shivalay Apartment near Pushkardham Society in Jamnagar. The crime was detected after Chetan (32), the son of the deceased, identified as Tribhuvandas Bakrania (62), came looking for his father and found him dead.“The crime is suspected to have been committed between 8pm on Saturday and 8.30am on Sunday. Apart from the car, the robbers are suspected to have taken away cash and valuables from the bungalow, the exact amount of which will be ascertained once Dr K N Bakshi, the owner of the bungalow who is away to Mumbai along with his family members, return,” said Jamnagar A-Division police station inspector K K Buwad.Ironically, Bakshi’s bungalow is situated right opposite Khambhalia Gate police chowky.
