Rajkot: A person was arrested on Saturday for allegedly killing and looting a man in Keshod on August 30. On the day of the crime, he had not used his phone and had taken every precaution not to get caug- ht on CCTV camera. “Darbar is a shrewd criminal. On Bhupat Sawani’s complaint, Keshod police station officials arrested Mohabatsinh Darbar (29) for allegedly killing and looting Sawani’s son Ramesh (28).Darbar had allegedly bludgeoned Ramesh to death with a wooden bat and robbed him of eight gold rings, one gold chain and a cellphone, all worth Rs 4 lakh. We caught him on the basis of a tip-off about his involvement in the crime and him being at Sondarada bypass chowkdi, where we went and caught him on the basis of description,” said Junagadh crime branch inspector R K Gohel.
