Rajkot/Surat/Vadoara/Palanpur/Ahmedabad: Temporary traffic disruptions processions , slogan shouting marked the Congress’ ‘Bharat Bandh’ call over rising fuel prices that received a mixed response in Gujarat on Monday. The bandh received mixed response in north Gujarat towns where the protest by Congress workers remained peaceful barring couple of incidents of stone pelting on state transport buses. The bandh call received a mixed response as shops and offices in most areas functioned normally. More than 1,000 persons, mostly Congress workers were detained across the state. Nearly 65 routes of Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) buses in Surendranagar, Morbi and Porbandar were suspended for few hours.According to reports the shops and commercial complex on Yagnik road, Dharmendra road, Parabazar, Kalavad road, Raiya road, 150 feet ring road Mavdi chok, remain closed till 12 in the noon.
