On the evening of August 26, after Majothi called up Khimsuria, persisting with his demand to pay him back the money, Khimsuria along with the other accused went to Majothi’s house in a car and opened fire. He is involved in several cases of house break-ins. The attack was the result of a financial dispute.According to police, Majothi had lent Rs 2 lakh to Khimsuria, which he had been asking him to return for the past four years. When Majothi came out, he fired one round at him, which he dodged by bending down,” Thorala police station inspector S N Gadu said.Of the accused Khimsuria is a history-sheeter who was jailed twice under the Prevention of Anti-Social Activities Act (PASA).

Rajkot: One of the four accused who had shot at a man in Ganjivada locality of Rajkot on August 26 was nabbed from Aji Dam Chowkdi in Rajkot on Friday.Police said while the accused, identified as Hitesh Khimsuria (40), was arrested, his three accomplices — Pravin Koli alias Paliyo, Suresh Koli alias Vanko and Lala Bavaria — are still at large.“We have recovered one countrymade pistol, two cartridges and one car used in the crime from Khimsuria’s possession,” Rajkot crime branch sub-inspector Mahavirsinh Jadeja said.Khimsuria had allegedly fired one round at a real estate broker Abdul Majothi (40), which Majothi had dodged.
