One of the accused Hira Koli shot Babu’s nine-month pregnant daughter-in-law Chakuben from point-blank range in the abdomen with a country-made gun killing her on the spot. RAJKOT: A sessions court in Kutch’s Anjar town on Friday sentenced five persons of a family to life imprisonment for murdering a pregnant woman five years ago in a village of Rapar taluka. The fifth additional session Judge D M Panchal held all the five accused guilty of murder and awarded them life imprisonment.The convicts include Madeva Koli, his wife Divaliben Madeva Koli, sons Hira Koli, Deva Koli and another relative Raydhan Koli.On June 10, 2013, Madeva and his family members barged into Babu’s house. The court also imposed a fine totalling Rs 1lakh on the convicts..The court examined evidence in the form of 29 documentaries and 21 witnesses during the trial.
