As a result, some parts of its brain had also got damaged,” Patel said.He added, “The sample of viscera has been sent to Junagadh veterinary hospital for further analysis so that other lions that preyed on the same wild boar could be treated accordingly.”Forest officials said that animals found in revenue areas many a times are infected with worms. “The farmers are under the wrong impression that deworming reduces the milk capacity of milch animals. Therefore, they avoid giving deworming medicine to cattle. But we are trying to convince them and also plan to start a deworming programme in the revenue areas,” Patel said.
