The deceased were identified as Maulik Rawal, a native of Mithi Dhariyal village of Chanasma taluka, Sahil Parmar of Chandroda village in Mehsana district and Shailesh Solanki from Sakra village of Patan district.After participating in the day-long celebrations, all students of Uttar Buniyadi Vidyalaya boarding school were asked to go their respective rooms in the afternoon. However, the three boys, without informing anyone, ventured out to a nearby check dam to take bath. None of them knew how to swim and they drowned.Hostel authorities had begun a search for them as they were not present in the room. Their clothes and footwear were later found on the bank of the lake.Meanwhile, parents of the boys lodged a complaint against school principal Bhagwati Patel, hostel warden Pala Vankar and Jasu Desai, accusing them of negligence. Chanasma police said the parents accepted their bodies only after being convinced of action. The school is part of ThakkarBapa Gandhi Ashram campus.
