Rajkot: In a horrifying incident who had been missing for the past three months , was found to have been raped by at least 17 persons after being forced into flesh trade in Lila Circle locality of Bhavnagar. The girl is the eldest of two siblings. Her father has died, and her mother works as a domestic help.Police has arrested five persons including a woman, her daughter, husband and two touts for immoral trafficking, rape, and under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.The girl was found injured in a road accident on Thursday evening. She told police that she had been forced into flesh trade by a woman identified as Rekha Makwana, her Harshad husband and daughter Trupti.According to police, the girl had been exploited by several men who had an alleged affair with her.“The girl told us that after breaking up with one of her alleged boyfriends, she came in contact with Rekha. After she started living with Rekha, she was pushed into flesh trade. Then every night, Rekha would send her to entertain men. Till the time she stayed with Rekha, she was raped by as many as 17 men. Apart from Rekha, her husband and daughter, we have also arrested two touts,” said G K Ishrani, inspector of Bhavnagar B division police station.At one point of time, Rekha had sent the girl to live with one man named Ghanshyam in Chitrala village of Talaja, who later sent her to one of his relatives Yogesh, police said.Ishrani said, “When the girl’s mother had lodged a missing complaint three months ago, we had registered a case of abduction according to Supreme Court guidelines. After the girl was found near Lila Circle we sent her for medical examination and found she had been repeatedly raped.”He added that the arrested accused have been booked under various sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the sections pertaining to rape, immoral trafficking, physical assault and criminal intimidation under the Indian Penal Code and Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.
