On October 24, a leopard was run over by an unidentified vehicle on Junagadh-Somnath highway. Rajkot: A three-year-old male leopard was killed after it was run over by an unidentified vehicle near Dilawarnagar in Vanthali taluka of Junagadh district on Sunday morning.According to police, the leopard’s carcass was found on Junagadh-Somnath highway on Sunday morning. “We sent the leopard’s carcass to Sakkarbag Zoo in Junagadh for postmortem which confirmed its death due to injuries in its stomach caused by collision with a vehicle,” said Usma Nanavati, assistant conservator of forest.This is the second such incident reported from the same place in 12 days.
