Son of pay-and-use toilet contractor found murdered

Rajkot: The decomposing corpse of a 21-year-old youth was found at a pay-and-use public toilet block located at the garden opposite Sheth High School on 80-Feet Road on Tuesday morning.The deceased was identified as Pradeep Rajendra Khushwaha, whose father is the contractor in-charge of operating and maintaining the public toilet.Police said from the state of the body, Pradeep seems to have been strangled three days ago. Mishra was in charge of collecting fees from users.Pradeep’s father lodged a missing person’s complaint for his son with Bhaktinagar police station on November 17, when he did not return after leaving home to collect cash from various toilets blocks on the night of November 16.According to police, after Rajendra lodged the missing person’s complaint, Mishra came to Rajendra’s house in Bhagwatipara on November 18 and told them that he had to rush to his village in Bihar to attend to some family issues.On Tuesday, Manoj, the new person appointed in Mishra’s place, found one stall door was locked and a that a foul smell was emanating from it.
