Rajkot: Tired of a prolonged illness, a man hurled himself before a speeding train between Amrapali railway crossing and Aerodrome railway crossing near Khodiyar Dairy in Rajkot on Monday. He kept his bank’s pass book and cellphone on the vehicle’s seat and waited till Veraval-Ahmedabad Express Train arrived. As the train arrived, Modi hurled himself before it,” said an official from Gandhigram police station.The impact of the collision was so severe that Modi’s body was cut into pieces. The train stopped and the guard collected his mortal remains to take it to the other station.“We identified Modi on the basis of his bank passbook. He kept his bank’s pass book and cellphone on the vehicle’s seat and waited till Veraval-Ahmedabad Express Train arrived. As the train arrived, Modi hurled himself before it,” said an official from Gandhigram police station.The impact of the collision was so severe that Modi’s body was cut into pieces. His family members said that Modi was a bachelor, suffering from several ailments including diabetes and blood pressure.
