Palanpur: An 11-year-old girl from Vadvera village in Danta taluka of Banaskantha district was allegedly raped by a 14-year-old boy on Wednesday evening.The boy, who studies in class IX took the girl in a castor field on the pretext of collecting khakhra leaves and allegedly raped her. The class V girl lives in the same locality as the boy’s.Traumatized by the sexual assault, the girl came home wailing and narrated the ordeal to her parents. She was rushed to a referral hospital in Danta. Sources said she is suffering from convulsions after the rape.Police detained the minor boy and a case was registered under Section 376 of IPC and Section 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
