108 staff rescue eight-year-old kid from well

Rajkot: The emergency ambulance 108 team saved an eight-year-old child who had fallen into an 80-feet deep well on Saturday morning in Ishapur village of Bhesan taluka in Junagadh district within hours of the incident. Though no injury was found, he is suffering from hypothermia because of cold water and is in deep shock. The team gave primary treatment like CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation) and took the help of a physician from call centre. The child is out of danger and under treatment at Junagadh civil hospital.Karan Sureshbhai, who had fallen into the well, while playing outside his house was not visible. Thereafter, he was rushed to Junagadh civil hospital.

A team of emergency medical technician Divya Gosai and pilot Bhupat Gadhvi saw that the child is alive and flowing on the water as he was holding some wooden stick.Chetan Gaadhe GVK EMRI district officer said, “A villager, who knew swimming, went inside the well and tied the child’s shoulder with a spine board and then he was lifted.”When the child was brought outside the well, he was unconscious. The team gave primary treatment like CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation) and took the help of a physician from call centre. The child gained conscious and started responding. Thereafter, he was rushed to Junagadh civil hospital. Though no injury was found, he is suffering from hypothermia because of cold water and is in deep shock.
