Pakistan man jailed for trespassing

After investigation, the police filed a chargesheet against Akil in Dayapar court and based on that he was tried under the Foreigners Act. Judicial magistrate first class (JMFC) CR Modi on Thursday convicted Akil under the same Act and awarded him 3.5 years in prison. RAJKOT: A Pakistani national who had trespassed into Indian territory in April last year was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison by a local court of Dayapar in Lakhpat taluka of Kutch on Thursday. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,500 on Mohammad Akil (25), a resident of Sindh province in Pakistan Akil was apprehended by the Border Security Force (BSF) in April last year after he entered Indian territory without valid documentation. He was later handed over to Nara police.
