Judicial magistrate first class (JMFC) CR Modi on Thursday convicted Akil under the same Act and awarded him 3.5 years in prison. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,500 on Mohammad Akil (25), a resident of Sindh province in Pakistan Akil was apprehended by the Border Security Force (BSF) in April last year after he entered Indian territory without valid documentation.
