"In her statement, the woman said that her husband Chaman Sodha used to doubt her character, thrash her often and cause mental harassment. Rajkot: A woman in Dudhsagar Road area immolated herself after being fed up of mental and physical harassment meted to her by husband.Police said that though the victim, Mangu Sodha, 35, has survived the immolation bid, she has been admitted to Rajkot Civil Hospital with severe burn injuries. Tired of this, the woman doused herself with kerosene and set herself ablaze at her residence in Akashdip Society," said an official from women police station of Rajkot police where the case has been registered in this regard.Following the complaint from Mangu, the women police officials have booked Sodha under sections 498 (K), 323 and 504 of the Indian Penal Code and arrested him.
