Two nabbed with 70kg beef near Anjar

Rajkot: Two persons were arrested near Anjar with 70kg beef in their possession on Sunday. Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid on the fringes of Mathla village near Anjar and nabbed Ramji Sindhav, 24 and his brother Devraj, 22. They found several slaughtered bovines there and seized 70kg beef.Anjar police constable Sukhdevsinh Jadeja has lodged a complaint in the case. They were booked under the new cow slaughter laws which has a provision of life imprisonment for the guilty. "We have sent the samples of carcass for forensic tests at Gandhinagar," police said.
