Rajkot: A man was attacked by two assailants with iron pipes on Wednesday night. The accused — Hardas Limba and Babu Bharwad — had also robbed the victim, Gogan Rahiga (55) of Rs 50,000. Rahiga told Kalavad police station that Limba had been harbouring a grudge against him ever since he broken off his daughter's engagement with Limba."While Rahiga was on his way to Matali village from Khan Kotada to purchase a buffalo for which he was carrying Rs 50,000, Hardas and Babu arrived on their bikes and intercepted his bike. Both were armed with iron pipes and they dealt around 15 to 17 blows to Rahiga, as a result of which both his hands and feet got fractured. Before fleeing the spot, the accused also robbed him of his money," said an official from Kalavad police station, adding that police has launched a manhunt against the accused.
