'1948 crore budget for RMC approved, ward funds hiked

These amendments include increase of budget allocated for ward development from Rs 5 crore to Rs 10 crore and hike of allotment for hand pumps and HYDT from Rs 2 crore to Rs 6 crore. RMC 's public relations officer Naresh Kumar Sinha said, "The standing committee has made amendments in the budget which was proposed earlier. RANCHI: An amended budget of Rs 1,948 crore for the 2018-19 fiscal has been approved by the standing committee of Ranchi Municipal Corporation on Monday and forwarded it for the approval by the civic body's board.The last budget volume stood at Rs 1,928 crore. Sinha said, "It was decided that six officials of RMC who have retired will be given an extension for six months." Another agenda discussed was giving extension to officers of RMC who have retired.
