Two held in Gumla gang rape case

Ranchi: Gumla police on Sunday arrested two accused in connection with the gangrape of a 13-year-old girl under Ghaghra police station area on March 31. One of the accused dropped the girl near her house the next day and fled. One accused is still on the run. Ejaz Ansari and Asif Ansari were arrested from their village in Lohanjara, Gumla SP Anshuman Kumar said, adding that an SIT led by the Gumla SDPO is investigating the case.The girl had complained that the accused kidnapped her on March 31 and then raped her repeatedly in a nearby forest.
