Three girls from Jharkhand in top three of Patna region CBSE Class X

Of them, the pass percentage of girls is 89.3% while that of boys is 87.03%.Of the total students who appeared for the examination in the Patna region, 1,454 scored 95% and above while 10,003 scored 90% and above.Among the 10 CBSE zones, Patna region stands at fifth in terms of pass percentage with the top four being Thiruvananthpuram at 99.6%, Chennai at 97.37%, Ajmer at 91.86% and Bhubaneshwar at 88.12%. Since she was a little child, she has been attracted by engineering and computers. RANCHI: Maitri Shandilya of Delhi Public School, Dhanbad, became the state and region topper by scoring 99.2% marks in Class X examination of Central Board of Secondary Education ( CBSE ), the result of which was announced on Tuesday.Maitri scored 100 marks in social studies and 99 in all the remaining subjects including mathematics, science, English and Sanskrit.Maitri is also the topper of CBSE Patna region which includes both Bihar and Jharkhand and is tied at the spot with Rohit Raj of DAV Public School, Khagaul, Bihar, who scored the same marks.Daughter of an engineer in BCCL, Maitri wants to follow the footsteps of her father and get admission in an IIT just like her father. "The second and third rank in the region has been bagged by girls from the state and are tied with boys from Bihar.Anshika Ranjan of Guru Nanak Higher Secondary School, Ranchi, is tied at the second position with Shivam Raj of Dr D Ram DAV Public School, Danapur (Bihar) by securing 99% mark each.Similarly, Jasmine Saha of DAV Public School Bishtupur, Jamshedpur, is tied at the third position with Manas Chaudhary of Loyola High School, Patna with both securing 98.8% marks.A total of 1,83,442 students appeared in the examination of whom 1,61,078 passed the examination, making the pass percentage 87.8% in the region.
