Safety worry: Sakshi Dhoni applies for gun

RANCHI: Fearing for her personal safety, cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi Dhoni, has applied for a gun licence in Ranchi. An honorary lieutenant colonel in the Indian Army , Dhoni also carries a licenced pistol. Police and district administration sources said Sakshi wants to keep a pistol in her possession as she “feels unsafe when she stays alone in the city.”“She had applied for a gun licence. The former Indian captain’s family also owns a farmhouse in Kathitand area, in the city’s outskirts. We have verified the application and forwarded it to to the district arms magistrate’s office,” an officer privy to developments in Argora police station told TOI.Dhoni had moved into a mansion at Harmu Housing Colony in 2008.
