Lohardaga woman, two children found dead inside well

RANCHI: A woman and two children were found dead inside a well at Laundi village under Senha police station in Lohardaga district . When the victims did not return for a long time, the family started a search and found the bodies in the well. As it started raining, the woman and the two girls took take shelter and the boy, however, ran back home. The deceased were members of a joint family, comprising three brothers - Dinesh Lohra, Ramesh Lohra and Kamlesh Lohra. Prima facie it seems that after getting wet, the woman and the children were sitting on the wall of the well to get dry.

RANCHI: A woman and two children were found dead inside a well at Laundi village under Senha police station in Lohardaga district . A case of unnatural death was registered with police on Sunday.Police said the deceased had gone out of the house to gather blackberries along with another male member of the family. As it started raining, the woman and the two girls took take shelter and the boy, however, ran back home. When the victims did not return for a long time, the family started a search and found the bodies in the well."Police are investigating the case. Prima facie it seems that after getting wet, the woman and the children were sitting on the wall of the well to get dry. One of girls might have fallen in. The two others might have jmped in to save her. Police have registered the case based on statements of family members in this connection," said Jagannath Oraon, officer in-charge of Senha PS.The deceased persons have been identified as Monita Devi (26), Aanchal Kumari (5) and Gyanti (3). The deceased were members of a joint family, comprising three brothers - Dinesh Lohra, Ramesh Lohra and Kamlesh Lohra. Monita was Dinesh's wife whereas Aaanchal and Gyanti were Ramesh and Kamlesh's daughters respectively.Ramesh said, "We suspect that all three drowned by accident. They may have jumped into the well while trying to save each other. Our family lives in harmony with each other and there is no reason to suspect any conspiracy by any of our members in the case."
