Pravin Togadia hints at contesting 2019 polls against PM Modi

When asked if he will fight the 2019 election against Modi, Togadia said, "I am willing to take anyone head-on for the cause of Hindus and the issues of unemployment and minimum support price for farmers. "Togadia upped the ante against PM Modi asking him to demonstrate his courage by deporting Bangladeshi immigrants from Assam. "Togadia claimed the Union government was "treating Muslims as first-class citizens by giving them minority status". The Union government will witness a setback if it fails to deliver the promises made to Hindus." He asked, "How can Muslims be called minorities if they comprise 14% of the country's population?

RANCHI: Former VHP president Pravin Togadia hinted his willingness to contest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 2019 Lok Sabha election on issues of Hindutva , employment and distressed farmers.Togadia, who quit the VHP in April to form his own outfit, Antarrashtriya Hindu Parishad (AHP), was in Ranchi on Sunday to preside over meetings of pracharaks of his new outfit. He hit out at the BJP government at the Centre for not delivering on its promises of building the Ram Temple in Ayodhya , deportation of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants, stripping the Muslim community of minority status and implementing the Uniform Civil Code in the last four years."Soon, there will be an alternative in national politics," he said. When asked if he will fight the 2019 election against Modi, Togadia said, "I am willing to take anyone head-on for the cause of Hindus and the issues of unemployment and minimum support price for farmers."Togadia upped the ante against PM Modi asking him to demonstrate his courage by deporting Bangladeshi immigrants from Assam. He said, "AHP has made inroads in 500 districts across India since its inception. I will lead a march of AHP workers and sadhus from Lucknow to Ayodhya on August 13 to demand a law which will give a definite timeline on the construction of the temple."Togadia claimed the Union government was "treating Muslims as first-class citizens by giving them minority status". He asked, "How can Muslims be called minorities if they comprise 14% of the country's population? The Union government will witness a setback if it fails to deliver the promises made to Hindus."
