Torture in prison? Minister orders probe

He said he wanted to expose the corruption and torture of inmates using the phone. He also named the jail superintendent Rajan Kapoor and another officer Dhaliwal in the video, alleging all that was being done at their behest.However, the jail superintendent has refuted the allegations. He said since he was enforcing strict discipline inside the jail, the inmates were conspiring against him to settle a score.Meanwhile, it is learnt that the minister has asked the SSP to verify all allegations leveled against the jail staffers. Besides, the inmate had also alleged that the jail staff was forcing the inmates to pay money or face torture.The person making the video had claimed that he had paid Rs 10,000 to bring in a mobile phone inside the Patiala jail in which he was using two SIM cards.
