32-year-old journalist lynched in Jharkhand

RANCHI: A 32-year-old journalist was abducted and beaten to death by unidentified people in Jharkhand 's Chatra district . Locals had spotted him being whisked away by unidentified people on a motorcycle at Pathhalgadha Chowk around 8pm. Police found Chandan Tiwary in a critical condition at Baltharwa forest in Simaria area late on Monday evening. "Police have got some clues in this case," he said. But he succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.Tiwary was working as a reporter for 'Aaj', a Hindi daily, and was based in Pathhalgadha block of the district.

Soon after, his family members reported the matter to the police, who launched a search for him.Akhilesh B Verior, Chatra SP, said the police started investigating the case from various angles and a special investigation team has been formed to identify the killers. He added that the place of the crime was inspected on Tuesday morning.Raghubir, father of the deceased, lodged a complaint with the police accusing a person and a member of Tritya Pratuti Committee in connection with the murder of his son. DIG Pankaj Kamboj said the accused will arrested soon. "Police have got some clues in this case," he said.
