Jharkhand: Five fake Maoists arrested in Steel city

The five arrested persons, all in the age group of 20 to 30, have been identified as Manoranjan Hembram, Harishchandra Patar alias Hagru Patar, Indrajeet Patar, all residents of Chakulia police station area, Arbindo Mahato and Pintu Mahato, residents of Jhargram, Bengal.One of the accomplices, Biswajeet Kumar, is still at large. The police recovered five cell phones used by the miscreants for communicating with the targets for demanding levy.“They have admitted that in the past levy was collected from two persons and few more targets were in the line,” SSP, Anup Birthare told.Case under section 385, 382 and 34 of Indian Penal Code and section 17 of Criminal Law Amendment Act has been lodged against the miscreants at the Chakulia police station.
