RANCHI: Tej Pratap Yadav met his father Lalu Prasad at a Ranchi hospital on Saturday evening to discuss the divorce petition he has filed against Aishwarya Rai Yadav, who spoke to his father at the paying ward of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (Rims) for over two hours, however, said he stood firm in his decision.“I will not live in stifle and do what I have said,” Yadav told reporters as he came out of the hospital and started walking towards his car which was waiting to take him to a hotel for the night. Yadav, who filed for divorce on Friday, drove into Rims at 3pm with a handful of friends from Gaya. The entourage, which started for Ranchi from Patna late on Friday evening, halted in Gaya for the night.RJD leaders in Ranchi and Patna, including Lalu’s younger son Tejashwi, downplayed the developments saying it was a personal matter and should be left to family members. Meanwhile, Tej Pratap complained of discomfort at his hotel in the evening after his meeting with Lalu. “He complained of exhaustion, dehydration and fever. Doctors were called in to have a look,” one of Tej Pratap’s associates said.Yadav did not divulge his conversation with Lalu to media persons waiting outside the hospital but indicated that his father is against the divorce. “I will talk to family members. I will be waiting for his arrival in Patna,” said Tej Pratap.The court has fixed November 29 for hearing the divorce petition.
