RANCHI: As Jharkhand entered into adulthood completing 18th year of separation from Bihar on Thursday, thousands of people came here under the baton of police at the main government programme venue at the Morhabadi ground. People ran for their lives, got hurt with the barbed wire fencing and those who were unable to resistance fell easy prey to the RAF, policemen and Quick Response Team.Security forces failed to control the 20,000 plus odd mob who were all prepared to show black flags to the chief minister. The para teachers demanding regularization had announced their plan to protest and in a bid to avoid embarrassment government has issued order to keep schools open so that no one can protest at the programme venue. The celebration took an unprecedented turn when thousands of para teachers swarmed right outside the venue and took to stone pelting. The protests started around 12 in the noon, as they started shouting slogans against the Raghubar Das government. The protest took an ugly turn with TK Jha, DSP Control Room ordering a lathi charge on the crowd of thousands of para teachers pelting stones on the police and was dug out from the perimeter of the venue by 12.30pm.
