Bokaro: A 60-year-old man after allegedly killing his wife walked down to Harla police station in the city and said his wife had committed suicide by stabbing herself. When police went to his house in Agardih, they found the body of Shahar Bano (55) lying in a pool of blood with a knife piercing through her chest. Police conducting preliminary investigation deemed the case to be one of murder and arrested the husband, Golbabu Ansari.City DSP, Gyan Ranjan said, “After assessing the spot it did not seem that the deceased had killed herself. Even her youngest son alleged that his father has murdered his mother. Ansari has been arrested but we are taking other angles into consideration too.”Ansari is a retired employee of Jitender Cinema Hall. He has three sons who reside separately in the same locality while his in-laws' house is also in the same area. Ansari and Bano used to stay with their youngest son Sadam Hussain, who works as a computer operator in Chas Municipal Corporation. “At the time of the incident, my parents were alone in the house as I had gone out for work,” said Hussain.He added, “A function was slated to be organized in the house. My father and mother used to have disagreements over the number of invitees. It seems this time the fight took an ugly turn.” Ranjan said the body has been sent for post-mortem.
