Three-day annual Panache festival begins at XISS, Ranchi

RANCHI: The annual festival of Xavier Institute of Social Service XISS ), Ranchi — Panache 2019 — began on Saturday. This year, Panache 2019 was moved to March by the authorities at XISS Ranchi after the outrage against such events by various social groups. The event was earlier scheduled for February 20-22, but was postponed by the authorities in solidarity with the martyrs’ families killed in Pulwama and other areas across Kashmir. We have many other innovative and fun events lined up for the next two days which include fashion shows, street play and other literary events.”Students from other city colleges, including St Xavier’s College Ranchi, BIT Mesra , BIT Lalpur extension and IIM Ranchi are also participating in the three day long cultural extravaganza. From live musical performances to battling it out in a game of Antakshari, the students of the institution participated in a variety of events on day one of the three-day long festival.The events on day one included a battle of bands, Rangoli competition and a scavenger hunt among others.
