Palamu admin sends out invitation to divyang voters

Deputy development commissioner (DDC) Palamu, Bindu Madhav Prasad Singh, said, “The DC cum district election officer is sending postal cards to the divyang voters as part of a drive to increase the turnout. In the five-paragraph post card which begins with ‘Aap Ka Hardik Abhinandan’, the DC lauds the physically-challenged voters for redefining their lives through grit and perseverance despite facing all odds. “Each postal mail has been sent at a cost of Rs 6 (the value of the postal stamp),” the official said.As many as 5,500 physically challenged voters have enrolled in the Palamu Lok Sabha constituency this time. He added that their votes would help in pushing the district forward on the development front.A district administration official said the invitation cards are being sent from all post offices in the district.
