Over 38 fresh COVID cases reported in Jharkhand, no casualties

Jharkhand reported 38 fresh cases of COVID-19 and 31 recoveries while the number of active cases stood at 438.

However, none of the 24 districts recording any COVID deaths, the total number of casualties stood at 1,078.

As per government data, as many as 1,19,055 people have been infected by the virus till date and 1,17,539 have recovered, taking the recovery to 98.72%. The casualty rate stands at 0.90% in Jharkhand. The seven-day growth rate of the virus in Jharkhand was 0.03% against the national average of 0.08%. The doubling rate of the virus in the state stood at 2202.37 days against the national figure of 864.87 days.

Meanwhile, a total of 16,756 beneficiaries, out of the 32,376 registered ones, were inoculated on Monday across 163 session sites in Jharkhand, of which 8,478 were health workers and 8,008 frontline staff.

The overall turnout for Monday stood around 51%. As per health department data, a total of 1,23,754 beneficiaries out of 3,28,704 scheduled have been vaccinated and a total of 247 AEFIs have been reported till date.
