45 fresh COVID cases in Jharkhand, Jamtara pandemic-free

On Wednesday, Jharkhand reported 45 fresh cases of COVID-19 and 42 recoveries while three people succumbed to the virus, taking the total death toll to 1,081.

On Wednesday, Jharkhand reported 45 fresh cases of COVID-19 and 42 recoveries while three people succumbed to the virus, taking the total death toll to 1,081.

The number of active cases stood at 464. With the last set of active cases recovering in Jamtara, the district, along with Giridih, Godda, and Pakur, became Covid-free. The three deaths were reported from the state capital.

As per government data, as many as 1,19,161 people have been infected by the virus till date and 1,17,616 have recovered, taking the recovery rate to 98.70%.

Meanwhile, of 24,960 registered beneficiaries, 13,884, including 5,874 health workers and 8,010 frontline staff, were inoculated on Wednesday across over 200 session sites in the state.
