Jharkhand Suffering from Vaccine shortage, some amount is needed to continue the vaccine drive in the state: Health Minister Banna Gupta

  • | Saturday | 1st May, 2021

The minister further said that `no date has been given so far as to when the vaccine will be received`.

The vaccination campaign is being run across the country to break the corona chain. The third phase has also started on May 1. In the third phase, there is a provision to vaccinate Corona to people above 18 years. But due to the non-availability of vaccines in Jharkhand, the plan to give vaccines to people between 18 and 45 years of age is now getting strained.

At the same time, Health Minister Banna Gupta says that `tell me, run the vaccine drive, the company is talking about giving the vaccine after May 15. The central government should at least provide some vaccines so that we can drive.

The minister further said that `no date has been given so far as to when the vaccine will be received`. Health Minister is talking about not having enough vaccines even for people above 45.

Here, the pace of corona infection in Jharkhand is very fast. In such a situation, the figures are constantly breaking records. The government has implemented a lockdown to break the chain of coronavirus infection. However, the state government has named it Health Safety Week. During this time, vehicles are being checked by the police at Albert Ekka Chowk and people are being questioned whether they have left for any important work or are roaming on the road unnecessarily.
