Two nabbed for attack on BSL GM

Bokaro: A day after a team of the Bokaro Steel Plants (BSL) general manager (GM) was attacked, two persons were arrested on Saturday. Police are on the lookout for four other named accused in the case. Earlier, an FIR against 50 unidentified persons was lodged with the Sector 4 police. The institutions have been given a choice to either pay substantial lease renewal fees or face the cancellation of their land allocation. BSL is under pressure to optimize revenue collection, leading to a review of lease agreements. The institutions have been given a 15-day window to pay the renewal fees or face consequences.Bokaro river in spate washes away bridgeThe collapse of a makeshift wooden bridge in the Baglatwa area of Bokaro has left residents of Bartua village isolated. The bridge, built by villagers every year before the rainy season, was washed away due to heavy rain. The villagers now face difficulties accessing education, healthcare, and markets. Plans for the construction of a permanent bridge have been approved. This incident highlights the lack of infrastructure in remote areas and the impact of annual flooding on communities.
