CRPF jawan injured in IED blast airlifted to Delhi from Ranchi

Ranchi: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable Jayanta Nath who was injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast during anti-extremist operations in West Singhbhum district on Friday was airlifted from Ranchi to Delhi on Saturday for better treatment. Nath has sustained multiple injuries on his face and hand due to IED splinters. Sources said he was admitted in All India Institute of Medical Science, Delhi.Police on Saturday afternoon created a green corridor between the hospital Nath was admitted in and Birsa Munda International airport to ensure the ambulance carrying Nath reached the air-ambulance without traffic hindrance. Notably, CRPF personnel Santosh Oroan was martyred and two others second in command of 60th battalion Victor Vezeoto Tinai and Nath were injured when the extremists triggered an IED under Goilkera police station area on Friday afternoon.
