DPS Bokaro gets CBSE notice over branded shoes diktat

Bokaro: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) isued a show-cause notice to the Delhi Public School (DPS), Bokaro for forcing students to purchase expensive shoes from a certain shop.The board took cognisance of the situation after it received a letter from deputy commissioner Rai Mahimapat Ray. It asked the school to reply within 15 days. The CBSE also sent a copy of the notice to the secretary of school education and literacy, chairman of Steel Authority of India Limited and the CEO of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL).The central education board asked the school as to why the provisional affiliation granted to it not be withdrawn for violation of the board's affiliation by-laws.
