Hynniewtrep Youth Council urged Meghalaya Education Minister to waive school fee

A ReporterSHILLONG: The Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) urged Meghalaya Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui that the government issues a circular directing schools and colleges to waive the fees for the lockdown period. In a letter to Rymbui, Enlang Sawian, secretary education cell of the HYC said that since the lockdown, majority of the citizens of the State are facing great difficulty to sustain themselves economically. “With complete lockdown on the employment activities, many parents are concerned regarding the ability to pay for their children's educational fees,” Sawian said.
