Meghalaya records 478 new Covid cases and 4 fatalities on Thursday

Fresh cases on Thursday`s pushed the state`s total cases tally to 43,732.
Meghalaya received 478 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Thursday while 4 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.

The north-eastern state has 4,609 active cases currently.
The cumulative recoveries reached 38,331 after 329 under-treatment patients recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24-hours.
The total fatalities in the state have climbed to 762 after four deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours.
Among the fresh fatalities, 2 were reported from East Jaintia Hills, and 1 each from West Jaintia Hills and West Garo Hills districts, Health Services director Aman War said.

War informed that till Wednesday, 5.44 lakh people have been given Covid vaccine doses in the state, out of which more than 75,000 people have received both doses.
