Meghalaya received 485 fresh cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours while five people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.

Meghalaya received 485 fresh cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours while five people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.

As on 2nd July, the state`s total cases tally has reached 50,575. The north-eastern state has 4,652 active cases currently.

The cumulative recoveries reached 45,074 after 365 under-treatment patients recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24-hours.

The total fatalities in the state have climbed to 849 after five deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours.

The new cases of infection include 155 from East Khasi Hills, 68 from Ri-Bhoi, 61 from West Garo Hills, 79 from West Jaintia Hills, 8 from East Jaintia Hills, 27 from West Khasi Hills, 6 from South West Garo Hills and 16 from South Garo Hills, 25 from West Khasi Hills, 17 from East Garo Hills and 47 from North Garo Hills.
