Meghalaya records surge in Covid fatalities, cumulative death toll crosses 1000 mark

The cumulative recoveries reached 54,356 after 411 under-treatment patients recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24-hours. The total fatalities in the state have climbed to 1009 after 21 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours.

Meghalaya received 588 fresh cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours while 21 people succumbed to the deadly virus. As on 23rd July, the state`s total cases tally has reached 59,904. The north-eastern state has 4,539 active cases currently.

The cumulative recoveries reached 54,356 after 411 under-treatment patients recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24-hours. The total fatalities in the state have climbed to 1009 after 21 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours.

The new cases of infection include 213 from East Khasi Hills, 52 from Ri-Bhoi, 85 from West Garo Hills, 115 from West Jaintia Hills, 5 from East Jaintia Hills, 24 from West Khasi Hills, 4 from South West Garo Hills and 7 from South Garo Hills, 24 from West Khasi Hills, 11 from East Garo Hills and 7 from North Garo Hills.
