SHILLONG: The Opposition National People's Party ( NPP ) on Thursday announced its first list of candidates for the upcoming 2018 assembly election, which makes it official now about former Union minister Agatha K Sangma contesting the polls from the South Tura constituency.Agatha, who was the youngest minister in the then UPA government, had vacated the prestigious Tura Lok Sabha seat in favour of her father, the veteran Purno Sangma, who went on to win a bypoll.Late PA Sangma's eldest son and sitting legislator James K Sangma will seek re-election from his Dadengre home constituency.
