Himachal CM claims state's share in Chandigarh, wants officers' posting on deputation

He stated that Himachal Pradesh has 7.19% share in projects under Bhakra Beas Managament board (BBMB). We want Himachal officials to be posted here as per our share.”Citing a Supreme Court’s judgement, Thakur stated that the apex court had granted relief to Himachal Pradesh by allowing the share on September 27, 2011.

Jai Ram Thakur stated that Himachal would fight legally to get its share in Chandigarh and wanted Himachal Pradesh officers to be posted in Chandigarh like Punjab and Haryana officers.“Himachal Pradesh will fight legally to get its share in Chandigarh land and also in Chandigarh Administration," he said. Apart from this, the CM wanted Himachal Pradesh officers to be deputed in Chandigarh like Punjab and Haryana officers. He said, “As far as the ratio is concerned, 60 percent officials are on deputation in Chandigarh from Punjab and 40 percent from Haryana. We want Himachal officials to be posted here as per our share.”Citing a Supreme Court’s judgement, Thakur stated that the apex court had granted relief to Himachal Pradesh by allowing the share on September 27, 2011. He stated that Himachal Pradesh has 7.19% share in projects under Bhakra Beas Managament board (BBMB). As per Punjab State Reorganization Act of 1966, Himachal Pradesh has 7.19% share in projects under BBMB that includes Dehar, Pong Dam and Bhakra projects, from where power and water is supplied to other states.
